What is the Political Courage Test?

Hawaii Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Yes Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
I do not support raising taxes on the lower or middle class. Yes, there's a lower class working three jobs to pay the rent but we don't talk about them. Some of us were once them. We ignore the struggling, but not if I can do anything about it.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
All corporations, pacs, etc must be banned.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
I support UBI. We have the greatest military in the world, but right now we need to focus on individuals. We bail out corporations, we must bail out Americans including eliminating student and IRS debt.
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
I support lowering taxes on small corporations and companies. I support raising taxes against billion dollar corporations that pay no taxes.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
States know what their needs are. If they need the help from the federal Government they should get it, but they shouldn't be told how to teach, especially in diverse cultures such as Hawaii. As an advocate for Self Determination, I cant support the government telling this state what to do in terms of this. That's up to them.
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
No one needs a semi automatic to protect themselves. If they are that bad a shot when aiming at an intruder they shouldn't own a gun to begin with. I support responsible gun ownership.
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Yes Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
I support this for large corporations, not small businesses. The government must pass the Heroes Act and provide Universal Basic Income. We just gave billions to an airline for their employees. Days later they laid off the employees that money was meant for. The corruption is why we need establishment politicians gone, and replaced with Progressives.
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
We are a nation of immigrants. Are we going to all pack our bags?
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
The war in Iraq was about oil. Everyone knows it. Our brave military gave their lives for it. It's sick. I don't believe in using the military unless we are attacked or unless we are seeing genocide in other countries.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Please explain in a total of 100 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected. If they require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding.
